Adams has defended Maddrey in the face of misconduct accusations, tho.

Asked about some of Maddrey's alleged past abuse of authority, Adams said last year: "I have the utmost respect, confidence in Chief Maddrey and I’m excited that he’s leading my patrol force. I’m excited.”
