51%… The number of graduate research fellowships (GRFP) awarded by the NSF fell 51% from 2036 last year to only 1000 this year. The federal funding cuts WILL have long-term effects on not only the development of the next gen of scientists, but also the research they put out. Science is under attack.

Because of the attacks on science in the US from recent executive orders, I'm working with other early-career scientists to host a local Stand Up For Science rally at Seattle Center on March 7th.
