I understand the difference and I'm not saying they're the same. I'm saying that because of Ai, I think different things when watching that episode, compared to when I was younger.

Remember that episode of Star Trek TNG, where Data had to prove to the Federation that he was alive, and we all watched it and we were like "YOU MONSTERS! DATA IS ALIVE AND HAS RIGHTS! LET HIM COOK!"?

Well with Ai now looming over us like a dark cloud of slop, that episode hits very different.

We finished the meeting with the immigration lawyer. We need to apply for another visitor extension while we wait for taxes to be filed. Then later, we need to apply for her permanent status.
