i think no right wing person will lend any credence to CNN so here’s the article from Fox News. sure, they try to spin it as wasteful - but really who’s celebrating? the airlines. they are not here to protect you www.livenowfox.com/news/trump-a...

The XBOX (2001) is now as old as the Atari 2600 (1977) was when the XBOX was released.

Chat control is still possible. EU residents should make calls and share the post more widely.

it all started because one of my meds fell to the floor while i was packing. i’m in the USA, and tried to see a doctor and get a prescription here for it. $150 not 20€. the doctor says i should get a coupon to pay for it because it’s "very expensive" - like over $100 not 5€. then i try to fill it.

i wish i had a human gdb, set breakpoint, query internal state. some people make no sense and i just wish i had a tool to introspect. i wonder if humans come with symbol tables.

this would be called socialism or communism in today’s climate. it’s crazy how sane an american president can sound.
81 years ago, FDR proposed a second Bill of Rights to guarantee every American the right to employment, healthcare, education, housing, and a living income. His words are as relevant now as they were then. Watch.

as an autistic person, i’m realising travel really affects me. the day before travel i’m stressed from getting ready, the day of travel i’m pretty useless because i spent all my energy on travel, then the next day im recuperating.

working for a good manager is rare (in my lived experience). i keep thinking, why can't i just find someone like ME to work for? but it dawned upon me this morning, i'm probably an asshole manager too, i just never realised it!! #career

alright my european friends, our sleep time approaches. stop coding. your broken code can wait until tomorrow. back away from the keyboard and go brush your teeth before you're so tired that you just pass out wherever you are.

i love working with people who love tech. it’s a big plus if the candidate has open source projects or related hobbies. but at the same time, fuck capitalism, you can sign off work after you’re done and live your life. i wonder if im being hypocritical here.

Hey all, I'm going to talk about getting to work with the tech you love at work (Elixir!!) at Code BEAM EU tomorrow 4:20pm CET. Some ideas on how to do that and lessons I've learned while helping developers in their careers. It'll be dynamo! codebeameurope.com/talks/softly... @codebeam.bsky.social

why is it that there’s always a loud scooter passing by in paris, but here today at berlin, even on larger roads, it’s almost quiet. i might not even need my noise cancelling headset #asd #autism

travel sites should be forced to put in the time you’d have to wake up to make the flight. 7:30am doesn’t sound so bad, but if it said wake up time: 4am, i’d be thinking twice about it!
November 4, 2025 at 4:30 AM
hello past me, future me here. i dont know what you were thinking booking at 7:30am flight. i'll have to get up at 4am or something to make it. its already 1am. do you hate me? we should really talk.

Check out this Vectrex kickstarter: www.kickstarter.com/projects/185... - they are launching today at 4pm CET, 10am EST.
I met with the folks at Paris Games Week and they were great. Seems like people I'd like to do something with. I never programmed on a Motorola 6809 before, could be interesting!
Coming soon: Vectrex Mini
The best vector console is back!

i set up nextcloud and jellyfin and i'm much happier for it (so far!) i learned about a few sites that sell drm free flacs or mp3s. [Qobuz](www.qobuz.com) and [Bleep](bleep.com) are 100% drm free. i found stuff on boomkat and juno also but they are a mix. if you have other sites, let me know! #drm

comparing ourselves to others truly is the path to unhappiness. first, it means you’re not after something for yourself, second it means you’ll always find someone doing better. i wish i could learn this lesson.
