Starters took some time to wake up today so I decided to take a risk & do overnight counter proofs. Risky but optimistic!

Left is butter and milk dough for muffins and right is standard #sourdough for pizza and bread (sharing with other for both ofc!)

They are both tucked in now for the night so 🤞

Two bowls with sourdough dough that have got to the stretch and fold stage, left is the butter and milk dough for muffins and maybe cinnamon rolls, not sure yet, and right is the plain dough with a touch of rosemary for a weekly loaf and pizza bases

Love that we have evidence for bread from 14,400 years ago!

See this is why I continue to be in awe of the work archaeologists can do these days and the dedication it takes.

In honour of this Harvest-Hunter #FullMoon I made some things. These are muffin sized carrot cake with a vanilla cream cheese frosting & fondant decorations, mixed with real elements like walnuts, herbs etc. Full list of what I made in alt

Seven cakes with various fondant decorations, six around a central cake. The central cake has a dish with a full moon on the centre and dried flower petals around the edges.

All decorations are as follows
- Fondant round jar with fondant pomegranate seeds
- fondant basket with fondant carrots, swede, apples and parsnip
- Fondant moon and dish with real dried mixed flower petals
- Fondant basket x 2 with real heather and real mint and rosemary
- Fondant vessel with real crushed chopped walnuts
- Fondant pumpkins & sack of carrots
- Fondant fire with wood which has the effect from rolling it in crushed dark chocolate, and real pomegranate seeds for the embers
- Fondant bowl with real goji berries, juniper berries, figs and walnuts, bowl with crushed herbs

Also made sourdough pizza this weekend it’s been a baking frenzy 😂😂. Hand made the fondant as well, got some colours going, got the bigger cakes ready…got more to do soon. To be fair also did a ton of other stuff but baking has been extremely fun this weekend!! Love it, love gifting them too 🤩

Phase 1 complete! Got carrot cake muffin size bakes & smaller decorated ones before I popped them round to my neighbours just now. The muffin ones are for later. For neighbours did a combo of shaved chocolate and roasted walnuts, hand made fondant flowers & general sprinkles for the kids
