“The Leaving Room” by WLP alumna Amber McBride, MFA ’13 is a novel-in-verse about a girl in between life and death. The book has been longlisted for the National Book Award 2025 in the Young People’s Literature category and will be available to readers on October 14, 2025. Congratulations, Amber!
