I'm old enough to remember when Evangelicals were actually Christian and they spent their time lamenting their sin and repenting of it. Today's 'evangelicals" spend their time hating everyone who isn't their political ally. I like the old Evangelicals.

Funny how the 'tax the churches' mob never screech 'tax the mosques' or 'tax the kingdom halls' or 'tax the synagogues'. It isn't about fair taxation or tax exemption, it's hatred of Christianity, pure and simple. They hate the Church and they want it to disappear. They despise Christian faith.

Peter said “the untaught [ἀμαθεῖς] and unstable distort” the Scriptures (2 Pet 3:16). Per Louw & Nida, ἀμαθεῖς means “one who has not acquired a formal education.” Apparently, in Peter’s mind, being self-taught in Scripture means you didn’t have a qualified teacher. - Michael Svigel
