I loathe to give a W to skinny white women in athleisure wear but unfortunately regular light exercise does in fact improve your sleep and mental health. I know, I’m also devastated.

Sure I’m so so curious to hear what it was like for the Phillips kids but I really hope we don’t hear anything. I will absolutely buy their memoir in 10-15 years but until then I hope the injunction on publishing anything about them remains indefinitely. Both of these things can be true.

Linen sheets really are that girl but the first out of the pack night on them feels reminiscent of wearing in Doc Martins and I do not like it

Incredibly exciting getting our own homegrown “but her emails” scandal

Reading all the trending posts about the White Lotus finale and genuinely convinced I’m not watching the same show because wtf you mean this season was bad?? That was CINEMA. The THEMES, the REVEAL, the MONOLOGUES, the pre-death FLASHBACKS.

Not to Woke Post or anything but I feel like it’s incredibly obvious that Shonda Rhimes would NEVER produce a show where the murder was eventually pinned on a black woman or an immigrant, which narrowed the suspect pool in The Residence by like at least half. Still a delightful watch though.

I got a new work laptop this week and when Teams first opened I audibly screamed “why is it white” in the middle of my very caucasian open plan office

A little heavy handed on the themes but expected from a YA book I suppose. But to have a compelling story while catering to a veritable buffet of fan service is CHEFS KISS.
This will be adored by fans of the original trilogy and previous prequel. 4.5⭐️

It’s raaaaaaaace day tomorrow! And also my birthday which feels considerably less consequential than a run to fundraise for hospice. Fingers crossed Pōneke puts the weather on again!

Nothing has aged me as much as realising my parents were absolutely right to insist on having a sparkling clean house before we went on holiday. Coming back to my own space with fresh sheets and an empty sink after being away is ELITE.

Hello tiny friends in my phone. Many of you recall my lovely Mum passed away last March, so I’m spending my birthday running Wellington’s Round The Bays to fundraise for hospice in her memory. Please consider dropping a few dollars if you can spare it.

That horrific Vulture article about Neil Gaiman (that also rightly indicts his wife Amanda Palmer) is the absolute worst way to have kiwi’s instincts for bad vibes proved correct once again. I don’t wish this on anyone lightly but I truly hope they both die.

Hey Pōneke mates, got a couple free tickies to Brew Years Eve tomorrow night if anyone wants them. Think I’m going to go for a quiet night in instead. #kikorangi

Lead a waiata tautoko for the first time ever today, in a huge auditorium of like 800 people. It was a small thing, but felt like a huge step in the journey of reclaiming my whakapapa. Had to hype myself up hard.

Heartbeat under the floorboards drawing you the edge of insanity, except it’s my work phone on the other side of the house pinging with a new email every 2 minutes on my day off

Wearing my Proud to Be Māori shirt and meaning it WITH MY WHOLE CHEST was so healing to me. This hikoi was so beautifully managed, so much care and manaaki for our tamariki and kaumatua. What a privilege to be a part of history ❤️🤍🖤

In order of most to least compelling reasons to watch Gladiator II:
1. Beefed up Paul Mescal in his slutty little leather skirt
2. The cinematic masterpiece of Ridley Scott in IMAX
3. The plot
