Our visit to Sik-e-Dakh was mind-blowing - this Gitxsan community is completely self-sufficient and ecologically sustainable, with rooftop solar, daycare, affordable housing, a microgreen lab, chickens, and a newly-minted local meat/sausage processing facility.

An electric reunion in Hazelton, with communities protecting their lands and waters from the MAGA-backed PRGT pipeline. I felt so honoured to be joined by Deb Good (Watakhayetsxw), a Gitanyow Hereditary Chief, and many other community leaders.

Councillor @davethompsonvic.bsky.social and I are bringing a motion to the CRD’s Transportation Committee this week to explore Free Youth Bus Passes across the region.
This program already exists in Victoria, where 70% of 13-18 year olds use it.
