Hi Tyler! Thanks for bringing that to my attention. It appears to be working for some folks and not others, but you should be able to access it through my website: emilyommundsen.com/resources

Let me know if that doesn't work and I'll brainstorm another option.

In addition to our own experiences this past year, it builds on several other resources we referenced and found useful, which we include at the end of the document. Thanks to all those who have shared their insights and advice along the way!

With the 2024-2025 job-market season approaching,
Isabel Laterzo and I put together a guide to help poli sci PhD candidates navigate the often uncertain and confusing landscape.

This is certainly not mean to be an authoritative guide, but we hope it can be a useful resource! #polisky

Thank you!! But my training, without a doubt, began in your classroom. Not only were you instrumental in inspiring my passion for American politics in my first semester at Bucknell, but your advising of my honors thesis and willingness to share syllabi as I develop my own have proven invaluable

I am so excited to share that next fall I'll be joining the faculty at the University of Mississippi as an Assistant Professor of Political Science! Time to swap out Beau's Carolina Blue collar for some @olemiss.bsky.social powder blue!

I can't help but wonder what Scalise's vote count would have been. I can't imagine it would've been much worse, but, based on the support Jordan was able to garner in the past few days, flipping the anti-Scalise holdouts might have been a tougher task than flipping anti-Jordans

Time to dust off my January spreadsheet!

Word from the other website is the vote was 113-88, with 11 other/abstain

Conference rules require a nominee to get votes from a majority of members. There are 224 House Republicans; a majority is 113

Scalise got the BARE MINIMUM possible # of votes to become the nominee

This might get bumpy

Two thoughts -
1. This relieves me a bit. I think (though I'm not 100% sure) a Scalise speakership would be less damaging to the country than a Jordan speakership.
2. It ain't over until Scalise can get 218 votes on the floor. Let's see how long that takes.

The past, present, and future of the American Politics Research Group. I am extremely proud to have played a role in welcoming 40 UNC political science alumni back to campus to honor the 25-year tradition of APRG and those who invested so much in building this institution
