While ago, pub'ed "Franchise Potential" in my newsletter b/c "shady publisher" reasons. I love the heck outta this weird, anticapitalist slasher.
Then, I adapted it as a short script—which is now an Official Selection for the Sinister Horror Film Festival in Mexico City (and online) in December.

Watching more of The Beast in Me this evening because the performances are fantastic and reclusive writer who may or may not be loosing their mind going down a rabbit hole is my favorite genre.

I'm a huge Perry Mason fan so it's been fun watching Chris Chalk in Welcome to Derry but watching Matthew Rhys play a rich asshole in The Beast in Me is jarring. Great performance, but so different.

I just got a very sweet poetry rejection where the editor even commented on their favorite part of a poem. Sometimes even disappointment can be framed in a way that warms the heart.
