Jesus, people, it’s a joke. He’s mocking the WSJ’s gross journalistic malpractice in their story yesterday about “transgender ideology” supposedly engraved on the bullet casings. Big surprise, turns out there was nothing related to trans people, but this little Italian ditty made an appearance.
Dethklok’s Metalocalypse: Dethalbum III reached the top 10 on the Billboard 200, and their song Awaken hit number 25 on on the Billboard rock charts in 2018.
It’s always the same. If only there was some sign the GOP wasn’t supportive of lesbian and gay people. Maybe if the GOP had just recycled the same attacks on trans people, verbatim, that they used against LGBTQ people for decades it would have been obvious enough for people like this. Oh, wait. 🙄
I’m really interested to see what hiring is like for the firms that capitulated. We’ll have to see how many junior attorneys are keen on working those “pro bono” cases when Trump comes to collect.
That’s something that always strikes me — how absolutely mediocre these right wing people are. At this point the right wing ecosystem is just a shortcut for the terminally lazy and unqualified.
It was my absolute pleasure to meet Congresswoman McBride (@mcbride.house.gov) today! She gave a truly inspiring speech, and continues to show grace and keen strategic acumen in an impossible environment. Keep fighting for all of us, Sarah!
It’s not “misunderstanding”. It’s lying. They’re transparently lying about the studies and reviews which have been performed, to justify continuing to try to exterminate us.
I’ll never stop criticizing actions like Trump’s love affairs with dictators or his pardon of the January 6 insurrectionists. Because those actions are *wrong*, regardless of whether he technically has the power to take them.
One thing that drives me crazy with this kind of take from the NYT is that it implies that just because an action is legal, it shouldn’t be criticized. That’s…insane. Something being legal is table stakes. Something being legal doesn’t mean that it is moral, beneficial, or wise.
None of those are inherently gendered tasks to begin with. This sounds like something she should be taking up in marriage counseling, instead of ranting about trans women on the internet about. It’s not our fault she married a worthless lump.
But that would require honest introspection and the courage to actually do something to fix their own lives. Much easier just to burn it all down for everyone.
As of Friday, there have been 46 cases in which federal judges have blocked Trump policies.
The rulings in those cases have come from 39 different judges appointed by 5 different presidents (of both parties) to 11 different district courts across 7 different circuits.
It’s such an avalanche of hate. It’s just my opinion, but your approach here absolutely makes sense. Thank you for your work tracking and prioritizing attention like this. I hope you’re all taking care of yourselves.
This is just…tired. What the fuck does Riley Gaines, who is famous for tying for fifth place with a trans woman in a swim meet, have to do with healthcare? It’s so telling they have keep trotting out the same handful of people, regardless of whether they make any sense whatsoever to the context.
I love to see that you’re bringing this up! Unfortunately I don’t have a recommendation, but as an in house lawyer working in privacy compliance I’ve been losing my mind over the Privacy Act angle on this.
Trans people aren’t an “adult” theme to begin with. Trans kids exist. Trans parents exist. I’m a transgender mom of a six year old. I’ve had other parents use this excuse to demand that I not be visible in my own neighborhood. Disney should be ashamed for amplifying this kind of bigotry.
