Still catching up on videos from @nathenamin.bsky.social and @nicolatallis.bsky.social's virtual course, The #Tudors: The Creation of a Dynasty. This is such a lovely experience. Nathen and Nicola are expert and engaging #historians. I can't wait for their #WarsoftheRoses course! #history #England

I hear women and girls doing these two things regularly, and I want them to stop:
1. Bragging about how little food they've eaten
2 Describing what they hate about their bodies

Stop rehearsing the war on your body. Decide to be your own best friend: love yourself. #selflove #acceptance #selfcare

I've thoroughly enjoyed @claireridgway.bsky.social's week-long virtual course, MARY & ANNE BOLEYN: TWO SISTERS, ONE KING. The lectures are detailed, modern, and engaging. And the live Zoom calls are dynamic and fun!

Today two of my #poems went into the world in a new way! "Cello" and "Backyard by Ear" were unveiled as part of #Poetchry, an accessible #poetry exhibit in Cobourg's Ecology Garden, Ontario. The work of disabled poets was carved into picnic tables by a master woodworker.

To everyone on #Substack who makes their audio posts free for all, you are my heroes. Having that #audio option makes it so much easier for me to read your work as a #blind woman. #ADA #accessibility #universaldesign

@dialectcoacherik.bsky.social contemplates the question, "Does a language need to have standards?" Yes, a language has standards, but they are derived from community usage, not top-down regulation. Descriptive grammar for the win! #linguistics #language #dialects
