In Exeter for a weeks holiday to do fresh air and stuff. Been here all of about 10 hours and already had lunch in one arts venue and seen a show at the Exeter Northcott
Day 2 of whistle stop Edinburgh trip, loved Between the River and the Sea at ZOO Southside yesterday, another 4 shows lined up for today. First stop is The Bacchae at Assembly Roxy
Well that's a rather lovely blast from the past, one of my tutors from back in the day at @royalholloway.bsky.social has been longlisted for the Booker. Congratulations to Ben Markovits! We were tasked to write a writing manifesto as a class once (by a different tutor), we named it Markovism
Rather special evening at Jackson's Lane this evening seeing The Ghost of White Hart Lane - proper Spurs crowd, very different to usual audience, everyone loving it
Bit nervous about giving blood in this heat, but I drank enough to cause a hose pipe ban so all good! #GiveBlood

Today is both 'National Bubble Bath Day' and 'Show and Tell at Work Day'. These are SEPARATE things, do not, I repeat, do NOT attempt to combine the two
Belated post about my NYD tradition of reading a whole book, this year I'd saved the 6th Jackson Brodie book from Kate Atkinson, as moorish as expected, she has such a strange way of writing nothing happening but then all the things that havent happened needing to have happened for the end happening

If you're fresh out of present ideas, Theatre Tokens are a nice thing, the lack of expiration date is excellent. Forgot I'd been given some til one miserable date when plans had been cancelled and needed a cheer up

Maybe because they’re all not very nice in one way or another (I know, some more understandably so than others) and it’s more noticeable on screen?
Ok, no one asked but here's my take on Wicked: whilst it's really good, somehow being on screen rather than stage makes the flimsiness of the relationships more pronounced. Everyone seems to fall head over heels in love with each other based on... not very much. Not the point, I know, but did bug me
So after taking 3 months to fix the TFL website, you're now able to get refunds again with TFL advising "log on to [your] account and correct incomplete journeys and request refunds online." Except you can't, can you, it won't let you go back further than a month 😡 www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...
TfL cycber attack: Contactless passengers able to apply for refunds
