Gov. Hochul vetoed S7001/A7616, a bill that would reform NY's Prompt Contracting Law and implement critical contracting reforms. The changes in the bill are not only fair; they are essential to safeguard life-saving services and to treat nonprofits as true partners.

Last night, @governor.ny.gov vetoed the much-needed Nonprofit Contracting bill, which was sponsored by @shelleybmayer.bsky.social and @amypaulin.bsky.social and which passed unanimously, with bipartisan support. Here is the statement from the coalitions working on it.
