Regardless of what eventually is learned about the killer, the attack on the Mormon church in Michigan was horrifying. May we someday soon see a world where such violence and hate are unthinkable, and everyone may worship (or not) peacefully without interference.🙏

The crew at Midwest Buddhist Temple assembled and delivered over 400 sandwiches to unhoused neighbours in Chicago today. They also dropped off plastic mats for bedding that the temple's Women's Association wove.

Beijing is threatening to imprison student-activist Zhang Yadi for years for speaking out against racial injustice and peacefully exercising her rights. She should be starting graduate school in London, not jail. Governments should press for her freedom.

Check out this excellent piece from Mushim Ikeda Nash. The title could be mistakenly off putting—to be clear, she’s not advocating heroic refusal to burn out (too often a toxic mindset), she’s recommending not pushing yourself to the point of burnout (and thus being more available to do good).
