Our System is a blend of both a Democracy & Republic.
It is a republic because people elect representatives to govern.
It is a representative democracy because the power is ultimately derived from the people through those elections with checks on the majority's power.

Got Dandy a new book. She’s already pretty accomplished in Physics, but, being self-taught, I thought this might give her more of the vocabulary so she can write up reports on her groundbreaking (and sometimes glass breaking) gravity experiments.

CBP agents knocked on an El Paso home at 7:15 a.m.

The owner asked to secure his Rottweiler, Chop, in the bathroom.

While he got his ID, agents opened the door and shot Chop.
