I have been sitting on this, wondering what to say for quite a while. Now that I see ABU is removing multiple staff again I feel it's time to say something, so others know there is hope.

You can pursue what you believe is right & come out on top. Fighting for yourself is worth it.

I was going to simply let this go, leave it behind me where it belongs & continue working towards a future where I make products & art that continue to bring joy to the ABDL community. I've worked hard to keep my focus on this community that I love & pour so much of myself into & have enjoyed making connections with other small business' & individuals who do the same these past few years. About 2 years ago I was informed that I was suddenly terminated from ABU, along with a few other critical staff members (Ill let folks observations of their output since then drive their opinions on weither or not that was a good decision.). Unlike every other staff member that was terminated in this way I had the benefit of being in Canada & we have regulations & protections for employees experiencing this type of termination. So I found representation & set out to receive proper compensation for what I had given for the past 8 years. I think I am the only person to actually stand up & seek proper compensation after being terminated from this company, as ABU has a reputation for being legally agressive & it can be quite daunting to stand up to a company like that. Our "discussions" were tedious & drawn out, however I managed to retain the ability to make the public aware of my case & that it happened, though I cannot reveal any specifics of it. We settled outside of court with terms I was content with. In legal matters there isn't really a winner or a looser, but there is a sense of vindication I received along with the settlement; so take from that what you will as to how things resolved. I am making this statement now as ABU is once again removing multiple staff members. I don't know if they learn't their lesson from their experience with me, but I am hopeful they did & that the staff parting ways were offered compensation worthy of the work, the passion & the love they gave to the community through working for ABU. If you are an employee who has been "made redundant", or however they want to word terminated, & you feel something just isn't right about it; like you should get more out of working for a company as an employee for many years, I strongly encourage you to reach out to a local contract lawyer. Discuss your situation with them & find out if there is anything you can do. Are things following an expected procedure or are your feelings justified by practices not being followed? Lawyers often offer a free consultation & they have the answers to the complex questions you have floating around your head. Maybe everything is exactly as expected, maybe it isn't; the important thing is, you'll know. I wish everyone parting ways with this company the best, you are the people who made the magic happen, who added little notes for customers excited for their orders & put a touch of your personal joy into everything that the community noticed. You are the ones I care deeply for, the customer service workers, the warehouse packers, social media staff and all the hard working folks who make up the soul of a company like this. ABU is a hollow shell without you. I hope the passion & love you poured out for the community while working there is able to take root in other community focused business' more worthy of who you are. I miss my friends, the old family that was made up of these people from ABU & I hope you will continue to do great things for the community. We are here, with open arms, waiting to do what we can to support you. With love, ~Leems

I wish more people recognized that one of the most important elements of the ABDL community is that it is filled with CONSENTING ADULTS.

That's what makes it fun to begin with!! Consenting adults pretending to be babies online is so silly, but that's what makes it blushy. It's harmless self-care! ❤️
