[43] Excited with this new publication with Jonathan Jacob at the American Journal of Education!

We found that disruptions were predicted more by district affluence than by race, and were equally prevalent in urban, suburban, and rural areas!

When I started at UCBerkeley School of Education, I was the only assistant professor. Now, there are are four of us--each with different expertise but all with the same commitment to educate like democracy depends on it.

It's our faculty retreat and we got some cool jackets!

Joined the faculty writing retreat at the UC Botanical Gardens, and so inspired to see colleagues typing away and conceptualizing their masterpieces.

Hopefully, this expands their understanding of the "Ecology of School Improvement." I've also been reflecting how education undergrad and grad students should have a course on these orgs because many said they didn't know how they affected schools!

Grateful to finish teaching a course on orgs outside schools: unions, philanthropy, edtech, PTAs, RPPs, CBOs, UNESCO, etc. Students appreciated listening to lectures and hearing from professionals I interviewed!
