Prompt: Zhongli's femme form looks like something out of R34 and Childe is determined to make it someone else's problem.

T, established relationship, references to the main verse, genderbending, crossdressing, these two being in love. BITING.

“That’s new,” Childe said, in lieu of anything far more incendiary, eyebrows arched as he watched Zhongli run the once-cursed-but-not-anymore comb that Childe had gifted him for his birthday along the length of his hair.

“Ancient, actually,” Zhongli replied, looking at him through the mirror, eyes crinkling with amusement because he – he? – was a bonafide shitheel and knew exactly what he was doing. “Outdated, even.”

Childe was assaulted by the overwhelming, all-encompassing reminder that he loved him desperately.

Because there, sitting on the stool by the mirror, was Zhongli, already fine, immaculately symmetrical features polished down from all their sharp edges into soft, beautiful curves. Some more pronounced than others. A lot more pronounced, actually. Like excessively so. Obscenely, even. His lower back hurt on reflex just thinking about it, but then, this was Zhongli.

And it was Zhongli, despite the twin additions to his personality: golden eyes gleaming the same familiar glint of profound amusement that went unnoticed by the vast majority of people who met and fell into the foul creature’s thrall. He was being an asshole, and he knew he was being an asshole, and it really wasn’t fair how much it made Childe want to kiss him.

“The fabled Old Madam the Traveler once thought was Rex Lapis’ true form?” Childe asked, completely absorbed by the literal miracles keeping the buttons in place that held the excessive cleavage window barely decent.

“Mm,” Zhongli hummed, and turned his gaze at the window, expression softening. “Guizhong sculpted it, when we founded the Assembly. She believed it made me… more approachable, than what I used to be.”

Childe did not ask what Zhongli meant by sculpted, because he was almost certain the memory would resurface if he did. Even now, so long after he’d returned Zhongli’s heart, there were still lingering bits and pieces stuck in the back of his head, summoned into place at the most inconvenient moment.

Escaping is out of the question—the only way out is via the staircase, but Rybakov knows that too; if he tries to escape that way, he’s dead. But killing Rybakov outright is no better; the CCTV cameras aren’t angled in this direction, and he’ll have no way to prove he hasn’t murdered Rybakov in cold blood upon being discovered sneaking around the archive. The authorities won’t go easy on that.

It’s a death sentence either way.
