The employer and SMU CUPE 3912 Part-Time Faculty return to the Bargaining Table today.

We trust that the SMU Senior Admin and BOG will offer a fair deal so SMU students can get back into the classrooms next week and PT Faculty can be appropriately respected.

SMU's upcoming Wellness Week doesn't do what a good collective agreement will—address real material issues, like low pay and stress from late contracts. We need a fair contract for a healthy workplace, not #UnfairWork!

Today 36 years ago, the Berlin Wall came down. The Eastern German people had stood up against oppression and dictatorship all year and the pressure became too big. The rest is history. Never say the people don't have power. I remember those images and being reunited with our Eastern German cousins ❤️
