York, again. Sorry. But who could resist? A rainbow over York Minster. The pinnacle of human achievement and the pinnacle of nature. Together. From the York City Walls. Perfection.

Culture and art are just facts of nature in West Yorkshire. It's positively dripping in it. This sculpture in Dewsbury isn't even marked. Artist not credited. Around here, it might be a Henry Moore

The autumnal vista of Oakwell Hall, Birstall. It's is never not beautiful, but this time of year, there isnt a sight in tbe world to top it.

The unique architectural powerhouse of Halifax, the phenomenon of The Piece Hall.

Harking back to the cloth trade highs of West Yorkshire's past, now the cultural and commercial highs of West Yorkshire's present.

It needs no introduction. No verbal support nor fancy descriptive highlights. The crowned hero of the trio of human architecture. Angkor Wat. Taj Mahal...York Minster. York. Yorkshire. (At night).

The inspirational Helios at Fountains Abbey, Rippon. One of only two UNESCO World sites of Culture in Yorkshire, cited as a "Masterpiece of Human Creative Genius". Amen to that.

WX Wakefield's exciting creative hub. What a brilliant place right at the heart of the home of Geoffrey Boycott.

When the sun is beaming, where else in the world you you be, but sunny Scarborough. Pictured, the icon Grand Hotel, Scarborough the largest hotel in the whole of Europe. In 1867.

Luckily to be in the steel city, Sheffield today, and toured some of my favourite places, the oldest enhabited building, the beautiful Sheffield Cathedral, the empirical seat of learning and of course, the mighty Crucible!

Black Lace released Agadoo in May 1984. Assuming they played it 4 times a week until 1996, 20 times a day on "Agadoo Day" in 1997, and 66 times between 2014 & 2025, pushing it 12 inches 14 times per song, they've pushed a pineapple exactly the distance from their hometown Ossett, to Scisset by road.

The spirit of Yorkshire! The largest volunteer powered theatre in the whole of the UK. The empowering Hippodrome Theatre in Todmorden. Community power and togetherness persinified in brickwork.

The lifeblood of West Yorkshire, the beautiful River Calder (not to be confused with the River Calder) made recently famous by starring roles in Happy Valley and The Gallows Pole, but known to be much older.

A beautiful day had, revelling in the May Bank holiday offerings of ancient Richmond - jewel of Swaledale.

The Dales at their best. Lambs, blossums (not pictured) and sunshine.

Glorious, glorious Pickering, enhabited since the last Ice Age, adorned with medeival frescos and still home to steam rail, despite being the gateway to the Moors, there's no need to venture out from Paradise Pickering.

"He who controls Pontefract Castle controls the North". And it's little wonder.

The improsing crest of Wharfedale's Barden Tower, home of the Shepherd Lord of yore, rising up beyond the curtain wall.

Yorkshire's Seabrook's Prawn Cocktail crisps are definitively the best in the world.

Not just due to their proud roots in God's own county, but also because they're the only ones to smell EXACTLY like a lobster pot on Bridlington Harbour.

My absolute delight to be in the jewel of the Yorkshire Dales: traditional, blissfully beautiful, timeless Appletreewick. It's good for the soul there.

The magnificent East Riding Riviera, the birth place of Civil War and the only place in England not to have BT provide its telephony. Glory be to Hull!
