Residents had concerns about "loss of available parking, lack of need, financial loss due to tree & landscaping removals, loss of environmental beauty & the 'natural feel' of the community, stranger danger, increased crime, littering, &, most of all, the worsening of stormwater flooding & erosion."
A majority of residents opposed the Purple Line Takoma-Langley sidewalk proposals. So none of the sidewalks will get built. (It doesn't work that way with roads. ¯\_ (ツ)_/¯)

It's wild that Takoma Park residents living next to the metro station are complaining about a high density development replacing the surface parking lot there. Their complaint? Not enough parking spaces. I guess these environmentalists need to drive 2 blocks? SMH
