"Kinda Okay"

Yes, we all got on each other's nerves. Some of us listened. Some of us dug our heels in. Some of us came in with an open mind. Some of us lamented being urban planners when we didn't go to school for that. Some of us had zesty commentary. Some of us kept our mouths shut.
I got next to no pictures but it was fun to volunteer this morning at the "Truly Thankful Thanksgiving" at Donelson Cafe with District 15 CM Jeff Gregg, Congressional District 6 District Director Ray Render, and Mayor @freddieoconnell.bsky.social 🤩 🦞

On Thanksgiving Day join Mark and Kevin from the Donelson Cafe as they host their 9th annual "Truly Thankful Thanksgiving" from 11-2.

It's 100% free to anyone who shows up - you can eat there or take it to go. I will be there volunteering at 11.

Share with anyone who might have an interest! 🦞

Nashville Airport Concourse B fully evacuated right now. Not letting passengers in. Not sure what it means for flights #bna

BNA traffic is crazy.

Send your family the WeGo schedule once they land. Do not try to pick them up. 🦞

I just had a chance to watch this portion of the meeting and if WeGo thinks this is the last conversation on this topic it won't be.
At yesterday’s WeGo Board meeting, Chair Gail Carr-Williams said WeGo responded “instantly, and in an outstanding fashion” to the federal shutdown.

This was right after @quinevanssegall.bsky.social asked the board to partner with council on a plan for emergency fare suspension in the future.

The Mayor of Salt Lake City said that the large congregate shelter that is being built for the 25% of their residents experiencing chronic homelessness with co-occurring mental health/sub use disorder will cost them $27k per person per year (compared to PSH which costs $21k per person/year.)

Just heard from my first resident who is bring forced to reapply for her family's SNAP benefits. Considering she just went through the process 2 months ago I'm perplexed.

I hate I missed this and am glad that Chair Evans-Segal could carry the message forward that the council unanimously requested better and now we need more preparation for the future.

It is disappointing to learn that this message wasn't received differently by the authority's Chair.
