This is so despicable.

Know that you can still provide @trevorproject.bsky.social's direct number (866-488-7386 or text to 678-678) to folks who need it.

Given that this also cuts needed funding for this work, it's a good day to donate to The Trevor Project here:

How it feels communicating with politicians who are proposing we cut clean energy policies, healthcare, and distribute tax dollars to the wealthy.

A total capitulation that makes me feel sick to my stomach. When is opposition going to really get started?

🚨NEW🚨: Donald Trump is attempting to strip away federal support for libraries. We will NOT let that happen.

Last night the President signed an order to gut the Institute of Museum & Library Services. But together, we know we can show up & defeat it.

We need to organize--let’s help each other.

NIH is cancelling grants, but it's not clear exactly what they're cancelling and why. Without this information, we can't respond.

I've started a Google Sheet to track grant cancellations.

Please add any canceled grants you know of and spread the word!

The campaign against trans rights is also about stripping away everyone’s protections against discrimination, reviving, as Douglass put it “the moral blindness” of those who “persuade themselves that they are safe, though the rights of others may be struck down.”

No movie/sequel pair are of both (1) equal quality and (2) the same general vibe as are Home Alone and Home Alone 2. Alien and Aliens are of equal quality, but the former is a horror and the latter is an action movie. Terminator and Terminator 2? Again equal quality, but very different in vibe.

It would be helpful to have a better method of publishing/distributing a single, and potentially important, finding -- one that's probably still too "stand alone" for a brief report. An undergraduate found something that could really inform future work, but nothing else in their project panned out.

Gearing up to learn about a totally new (to me) method. Do folks who are experts in fMRI have suggested resources for me to learn some basics? I'm planning to use fMRI paradigms for examining mechanisms of change underlying skill learning in the context of a K. Paradigms are selected already.

Sponsoring my husband to live in the US has been one of the most stress inducing experiences of my life. Every step has been unnecessarily difficult, opaque, and frustrating. We are both scientists and have had a terrible time navigating the system over the last 2 years.

I am in need of a licensed psychologist who has DBT expertise (ideally with adolescents) to serve on a K23 DSMB. I hate asking for folks for free labor. My hope is it wouldn't amount to more than 3 hours or so per year. Anyone willing?
