Neighbour’s removalists asked if I could move our car. There was one spot further up between two cars - plenty of space for me. Removalists watched me attempt to parallel park for about 5 minutes before one asked if I’d like him to do it. I practically threw the keys at him. Managed to not kiss him.

I mean, first of all, that’s pretty impressive for someone who was into The Beatles and the Beach Boys back in the day, but also she told me she hung out with a bunch of junkies in high school (and she didn’t know they were junkies- same thing happened to me, I get it). But the music choice says it all 😂

I’ve seen 3 snakes by the creek in the last 2 weeks. Probably either Tiger snakes or Eastern Browns. No more dog off lead down there. Have still seen like zero poisonous spiders here in 20 years.

I would just like to know how it feels to not be in fight or flight mode 24/7 due to acute external stressors. Not like climate change or AI or any of the lurking horrors. Just straight up drama involving loved ones.

I met Kaleb Horton in an In-N-Out in 2018 and was immediately infatuated—singularly thoughtful, talented, and kind; a guy who worked his ass off to do things with words I never thought possible. He is among the best writers of our generation; a model America hasn’t made since. Rest in peace.
