After Musk’s Twitter takeover, I read heaps of takes to the tune of “this is why you don’t study just one platform”. But when scholars will want to study the post-Musk migration and the work of consensus-building about new platforms, Twitter research will be integral to interpreting these phenomena

For everyone who has done or is actively working on TT research - this work is valid and valuable. It is through papers like these that we will be able to gain an understanding (and a diachronic perspective) of how platforms, platform use and the creator economy evolve over the long term.
