The Noble Peace Prize fallout may be amusing at first glance; however, I think it greatly increases the chances that Trump will seek violent regime change in Venezuela. In his mind the best way to prove them wrong will be to do what Marchado can’t do, and end the Maduro regime.

Ultimately any renewal is up to the FCC, but its pretty bad evidence if > 50% of the population has voted that you are in violation of your mandate, and are requesting your license be revoked.

Seattle City Council where they are the affiliate should add a non-binding resolution to the next election ballot that clarifies the public's view as to whether the ABC affiliate is acting in the interests of the public as required by law.

Stations are required to operate in the public good, so a vote where > 50% of the population are calling for your license to be yanked is pretty good evidence that you aren't operating that way. It could be submitted during the public comments at the next renewal.

Sinclair is going to pre-empt the show on its stations, for example KOMO-TV in Seattle. Someone with more influence than me should suggest to the Seattle City Council that they add a non-binding resolution to the next election that clarifies the public's opinion about the affiliate.

In other words even if a study did show a link, it doesn’t answer the question of whether Tylenol causes autism or people who are taking Tylenol do so because they are treating symptoms of something that causes the autism.

There is no evidence whatsoever that Tylenol causes autism. Most direct studies show no link at all, but even if they did, it wouldn’t be sufficient for causality. They aren’t just taking one blind leap, but two.

Public figures can’t sure for defamation as it violates free speech. Trump should be glad about that as he has a very long list of people who could and would sue him. Example, Obama over birtherism or Ted Cruz over the Kennedy assassination claims. So many…

I think you are reading too much into it. It's not that they don't care, its just that murder is a lot more common here than in Europe. Charlotte had 59 murders in 2024 -- that is just in one medium/small city. There were 16924 murders across the US.
