Where was the direct action by FiLiA? There wasn't any, because, contrary to Streeting's pretense, FiLiA is not and has never been a feminist or pro-women organization.

It is part of something known as gender critical fascism, an actual danger to both women and trans people everywhere.

Conditions at this prison have not improved, with another victim of the state's violence, Tracey Dyke, having been killed by the state's neglect within just 24 hours of Toni's death.

As the View Magazine stated: "[HMP Bronzefield] is a place of systemic neglect and state-sanctioned trauma."

Said prison has a decade long history of torturing ALL prisoners, including an 18-year-old pregnant Black woman who was abandoned as she pleaded for help whilst giving birth, forcing her to cut the umbilical cord with her own teeth before watching her baby die.

It was BASH BACK who took direct action against Sodexo, the group who run HMP Bronzefield, after it tortured trans man Toni Asik to suicide. Even as questions began to be raised, prison staff felt protected enough to further torment Asik's friends, singing “Beautiful girls”, (‘you make me suicidal).

The counterprotest ends at Old Steine, where some protesters will continue onto the Clocktower for a protest at 12:00 in support of Palestine.

For those in Brighton this weekend, please stay safe; there is a large police presence and an even larger TERF presence out on the streets.

The back entrance of the conference also has noticeable police presence (about 5-10 officers, and more stewards)

One restaurant along the march route also has bunting in support of FiLiA.

The same bunting was reportedly seen at Brighton Railway Station yesterday, however today it is nowhere to be seen.

Unfortunately, the police managed to drive a wedge in the counterprotesters - They got in the middle of the march, splitting the group in two.

After approximately 2 hours, the counterprotesters have started moving away from the Brighton Centre, towards the Old Steine.

Dozens of police swarm around them and follow.

Some of BASH BACK's pink paint from Friday morning remains at the entrance. However, the broken windows have since been boarded up.

A very heavy police presence is at the scene today.

According to the counterprotesters, one protester was arrested this morning.

Furthermore, security at the event entrance has been massively increased with full height metal gates and more stewards.

Today, the counterprotesters have started giving out leaflets.

This is because yesterday they managed to talk someone out of going to FiLiA, and they felt that leaflets could communicate such messages more effectively.

They have also started giving out stickers promoting trans joy.
