The Narrow Gauge Railway Museum generously allowed me to get up close shots of the real Thin Clergyman's artifacts for his scenes dotted throughout the video.

I am really lucky and privileged to have been allowed to do this, so thank you to the museum curators and trustees for this opportunity.

The Awdry Extravaganza 2025 celebrates the life and legacy of the Rev. W. Awdry, creator of Thomas the Tank Engine and one of the earliest volunteers on the Talyllyn Railway.

This three-day event from the 18th to 20th July 2025 is the ultimate celebration of his most enduring creation.

🕰️ ON THIS DAY - 160 YEARS AGO

On the 22nd April 1865 the North Wales Chronicle reported on the recent delivery of a new locomotive to the Talyllyn Railway, which was none other than No.1 'Talyllyn'.
