Judge Dread was the stage name of Alexander Minto Hughes. He was was an English reggae and ska musician. He was the first white recording artist to have a reggae hit in Jamaica. The BBC has banned more of his songs than those of any other recording artist.

Dr. Strangely Strange was an experimental Irish folk group formed in Dublin in 1967 by Tim Booth and Ivan Pawle. The band is known for being friends with and influenced by The Incredible String Band. Thin Lizzy's Gary Moore features on their albums.

I always recommend Sampler albums for those who are starting a record collection. They are cheap and have a tasty selection of artists on offer. This was a 1970 UK one and was compiled to promote the label's full-price releases while also pushing the market for double albums.
