This weekend I visited Koh Ker, a breathtaking temple complex build in the middle of the jungle under Jayavarman IV from 928 to 941. Koh Ker was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2023. A gem definitely worth a visit.

Together with Olivier Richard, Ambassador of France, I visited this morning the Bakheng Water Treatment Plants including the third plant under construction. Supported by 🇪🇺🇫🇷 the Bakheng project provides access to safe drinking water for Phnom Penh’s growing population. #GlobalGateway

I was back at the Cambodia-Thailand border for my second visit to the displacement camps. The EU is providing €700,000 in emergency humanitarian funding to assist affected civilians, including through cash assistance.

On a visit to the border with DPM Prak Sokhonn and other diplomats, I witnessed the devastating impact of the border conflict. We welcome the ceasefire and urge both nations to implement it in good faith.
