Today Pafos FC will be the 1st ever team from #Cyprus 🇨🇾 to appear in a #UFCC title match!

This year already sees the 4th country, after #Brazil 🇧🇷, #SouthAfrica 🇿🇦 & #SouthKorea 🇰🇷 appearing for the 1st time with a team in the #UFCC!

In 2025 so far 4 countries made appearance with a team in a UFCC match for the 1st time ever - during the FIFA Club World Cup we saw Brazil (Flamengo), South Africa (Mamelodi Sundowns) and South Korea (Ulsan HD FC). Pafos FC is the first team from Cyprus to play a UFCC match, tonight challenging FC Bayern.

I don't think it's feasible an official mixed competition.

Perhaps in the distant future; but nowadays football isn't an unisex sport.

Between 1956, when the first match with a non-English club took place, and 1958 when the belt leaves England 5 matches were played between English and non-English.
5 matches have been played between Europeans and non-Europeans.
If history repeats itself, the belt will leave Europe in the next match

I think the Monterrey Rayados will knock out Dortmund in the round of 16 and win the title.

Then they'll probably be defeated, and the belt will return to Europe; but we'll have a non-European champion for the record.
