Yes it's a good point. It is also a calculated choice that is unnecessary: "tested" in what way? Campaign ing with and for him would have been a powerful and mentoring choice. The "tests" are a figment of old school election imaginations.

Gov. Mills has been swayed by the "focus group" mentality and ego stroked and her $text ask showed her in full make up....like a Stepford Candidate.
I guess if the pressure was intense enough we all would succumb eventually. I am sad and sorry.

Gov. Mills has been a wonderful governor and it's a shame this opportunity didn't happen earlier in her career. I wish she had chosen to throw wholehearted support to Platner. That would have been in keeping with her style. Ego eats the best of us.
