The Gyökeres debate is so exhausting, because a lot of the issues he has - his touch, his heading, his movement - aren’t going to significantly change at 27yo in his prime and are directly related to his biggest struggles - hold up and shot generation.

Not really enthusiastic about the performance but such a needed result.
The last few weeks/months have had a weird feeling about them - heightened expectations, reservations about trajectory and turgid football will do that - so it’s really nice to just win against that lot.

Rice presumably comes back, as an 8 or 6? If 8, who’s plays deep -> both options not particularly fantastic vs. Sp*rs transitions.
Attack probably Sterling, Havertz & Nelli - Not overly enthusiastic about a RHS with Rice & Nelli.

Outside of the very annoying Calafiori news, this is among our most balanced lineups of the season. Very happy with Jorge/MLS deep, Jesus wide with Havertz up front aided by Merino as a secondary box threat.
