This interdisciplinary lecture series, to be hosted in summer semester 2026, invites scholars, journalists, practitioners, and cultural commentators to explore the global entanglements of sport with conflict, diplomacy, identity, and propaganda.

We welcome case studies from any region or era – especially with a comparative or transnational lens. Contributions from all relevant disciplines are encouraged.

Selected speakers will be invited to present in person during the 2026 summer semester in English or German. Talks are scheduled for Wednesdays (15.4.–15.7.), 14:15–15:45 at the University of Regensburg. Zoom lectures will be considered.
