Coming (finally) with Oxford University Press this fall!

Working at the Allard Pierson Museum in Amsterdam this summer as co-curator on an exhibition about ancient and Transatlantic slavery. This is a sales contract of an enslaved; soul-crushing to see some of the objects we curate, but very grateful to be able to tell this story. More soon!

Setting up the classroom for a slow archaeology & storytelling workshop. I used two prehistoric objects (at least for the students): rotary phone and an ammonite :) Some amazing myths were made!

I was asked to appear on BBC Uncanny to say something about Roman ghosts in York! It was fun, though they cut all critical and nuanced comments on ghost stories and archaeology. Reduced to 10 sec. 'here is an archaeologist who points out a Roman road, so the story must be true'😂 lesson learnt.
