I got an article acceptance yesterday, and this one really cheered me up! The first version was submitted almost 3.5 years ago, to another journal; in the meanwhile the article got split into two, one half fared better, but this other half had to be redone from scratch with a different focus.

Today, funnily enough, I find myself listening to Barbra Streisand and looking at footage from Harry and Meghan's wedding, doing research for an essay.

My summary of 2025 in research: more performance, more Galicia, more languages, more talking to non-academic audiences... and the hope that there will be even more of all of this in 2026.

135 years ago, Dorothy Richardson responded to an ad in the London Times. It was the first step on the journey that led her to write her modernist masterpiece, Pilgrimage.

"Pilgrimage" is easily the literary work that had the most impact on me during the last decade (to the point of inspiring a multi-year project of my own).
Just one week to the start of Reading Pilgrimage 2026

To take part, sign up for the email list at ReadingPilgrimage.com. This is how we'll distribute invitations to the monthly discussions on Zoom and provide helpful information on each chapter-volume of Dorothy Richardson's Pilgrimage.

Me lavé las manos: Lavei as mans.
