BELOIT, Wisconsin - The Stewart family of Evanston made history again Monday night -- but it wasn't the history the twin sisters dreamed of as kids. "My sister (Schenita) wanted to be a police officer," Schonella Stewart said Monday night at the Beloit (Wis.) College Eaton Chapel. "I was a social worker. I believed that was my calling." On Monday night, Schonella was sworn in as police chief for the City of Beloit, a community of about 37,000 people. She became the first African-American woman and first woman of any kind to become police chief for the city that sits on the border of Illinois and Wisconsin.
