I like the stereotypical American exceptionalism republicans display saying ‘the world was laughing about the US under Biden and now they think we are strong again’. That’s completely delusional. The world sighed a breath of relief under Biden. Finally no completely insane headlines every day..

Today I learned on Bluesky... a new word! I hadn't heard of Pathocracy before, but it sure does capture the moment.

Basically, it's a state where the government has been captured by a small group with personality disorders.

Had the weirdest final destination of macarons today. Bought some at a shop and then they gave us 2 for free. Over the course of the day first our son dropped one and immediately stepped on it by mistake rendering it inedible. A few hours later the same happened to my wife. Macarons have to be paid!

It’s crazy to me how smoking is socially accepted the way it is. Apart from the health side of things the amount of trash casually disposed by smokers like it’s nothing is insane. If this would be Pokémon wrappers or coffee cups people would lose their minds and there would be government campaigns.
