Moral Ambiguity In a world where magic is bound by doctrine, power, and belief, the ruins of the holy city of Cael’Thorin remain buried beneath ice and time, its secrets long forgotten—until now.
Isolde Ridelle has spent her life in the quiet village of Rosewater, far from war and the unseen forces that shape the empire of Delheim. When she is hunted for reasons she does not understand, she is thrust into a world of forbidden magic, shifting allegiances, and a legacy she never asked for.
Elara Eastwell, a devoted weaver bound by sacred oaths, uncovers secrets that threaten the very foundation of her order. The deeper she delves, the more she is forced to ask whether upholding her vows is worth the cost—or if breaking them is the only way to protect what truly matters.
As Sigilbearer of The Circle, Aleric Belmont is no stranger to power, but the ruins hold more than redemption. When old sins resurface, he must decide whether atonement is within his grasp or if it was never his to claim.
As their paths converge, Isolde, Elara, and Aleric become entwined in a divine conflict that will challenge their beliefs, test their loyalties, and unravel long-buried truths.
The novel blends the political intrigue and sapphic themes of The Jasmine Throne (2021), the multi-POV complexity of The Shadow of the Gods (2021), and the atmospheric tension and moral ambiguity of Empire of the Vampire (2021).

Damn that's a good effort! Likewise.

Yep. I was there last week and now I'm in the middle of converting a 120k fantasy into first person perspective with the hope that it resonates better. 😱 I feel you.

Nothing quite gets me into the mood to write gothic romantasy like the greatest hits of Evanescence. #writingcommuntiy

Besides, as a reader how often do we read a book and go, "Huh, I wonder how old the writer is?"

Not often. Publishers want to sell good books, and that's it.

I couldn't figure out what was wrong with the prose in Wraithward. There was an annoying narrator distance. So, for the first time ever, I tried my hand at adapting it to first person. WOW, the difference. If you have the same issue give it a go and tell me how it goes. So happy. #writingcommunity

One of the characters in my manuscript just ate someone and now I have to go to bed because I have my 9-5 in the morning. I think I might have nightmares tonight. #writingcommunity

This is beyond hilarious. I even looked up the precise phrase and I had 1 single one in my 15k word sample. I was feeling so chuffed with myself until I tried a few more out........

Don't refresh. Don't refresh. Don't refresh. That's what I tell myself.

I don't think I've ever received as thoughtful a rejection as John Jarrold. If you think your work might resonate with him, you should consider him. High level of professionalism and care in his response, I am very impressed and glad I queried him regardless. #AmQuerying

100% writing. Managed to book my beta reader in for mid March so now I'm on a deadline to finish act 1 of my second book. Deadlines are motivating. For whatever reason, I work best under a bit of pressure.
