If you’re wondering why there’s a lull in the Epstein files discussion, it’s because the law that just passed gave Pamela Jo 30 days to release the files. So we’re all waiting to see how she tries to sabotage it. The discussion will pick back up in earnest on December 20th.

I love what she's doing and she's one of the only billionaires in existence who (maybe) didn't step on others, but it's also important to remember you can't remain (or in most cases even become) a billionaire and be a philanthropist. Philanthropy and the hoarding of wealth are incompatible.

This July, a man in Utah set his home on fire, killing himself, his 33-year-old partner, Jaimar Bravo Gil, and their children, police say. Bravo Gil’s relatives said her partner had a history of violence but she had kept silent about most of the abuse for fear of being deported.

She was not alone.

Increased enforcement and Trump’s policy changes are causing some people to remain in abusive relationships rather than risk deportation, experts say.

Punish the victims for being victims, reward the invaders (Israel and Russia), and then pat yourself on the back while the groups go back to fighting.
President Trump’s efforts to broker an end to the Russia-Ukraine war closely mirrors the tactics he used to end two years of fighting between Israel and Hamas: bold terms that favor one side, deadlines for the combatants and vague outlines for what comes next. https://to.pbs.org/4roWW1o

There's lots of other, longer, systemic roots that need to be dealt with too. But yes, this is a piece of the problem puzzle.
This is how our government has been corrupted:

1) Donors give huge sums to elect politicians to office
2) Elected officials rewrite rules in the donors' favor
3) Donors make huge profit
4) Repeat

We must get big money out of politics.

It is the root of our dysfunction.
