Some NDIS phone line staff are private contractors, not NDIA employees, and may be instructed not to say so, says a new Guardian report.

These workers triage urgent requests but may not have disability training or decision-making power.

NDIS planning rules are changing, but we still haven’t seen the draft.

People with disability and families need clear info to understand what’s proposed and how it could affect plans and supports.

National Cabinet has agreed to slow NDIS cost growth to 5–6%, down from about 9.5% last year.

No public modelling or detail has been released on how this target will be achieved. We deserve transparency.

From 1 July 2026, SIL and platform providers must register.

We welcome mandatory registration for NDIS group homes, stronger oversight is needed. But Government must guarantee this won’t reduce choice and control for people with disability and our families who self-direct our supports.
