There's a how-to paper on AIC model selection aimed at wildlife biologists/ecologists that I've seen before but can't come up with at the moment. I believe it's single-author... This ring any bells for anyone???

John Mayer is a tricky dude to figure out. I really don't like any of his music, but he absolutely shreds on guitar and his personal musical taste is damn near impeccable. His channel on SiriusXM is awesome, except for when he plays his own songs! Weird...

Must have been stressful to be a dude in 1963. You would have had to know the whereabouts of these fellas at all times to make sure you didn’t bring your girl into the same zip code.

🤯 Wild shit here. They put biologgers on greater noctule bats and found them pursuing, capturing, and eating birds in-flight. The recording of a European Robin getting blasted and snacked on is nuts.

Please. For the love of all that is holy. Put the species name somewhere in the abstract. Please.
Do older birds claim better territories, and does this drive age biases in space over time? Woodman et al. use 45 years of data to suggest that habitat quality - not age - shapes spatial demography.

I’m entering some historical eBird records and had to dig deep for these ones. I found my lifer King Vulture in my journal from when I was eight and lived in Mexico. And I scored an ocelot on that same day! Helluva day for young Danny boy! (1/2)
