Something loosely connected, I honestly feel robbed that Daft Punk quit before we got another Alive tour/album. I know they said RAM would not get a tour but the way they made that album was by making their own disco stems and mixing those instead of licensing samples. RIPE for an Alive album!!

Tron Legacy is its own thing, a different much more serious aesthetic with a narrow color pallet, and Daft Punk's HUGE sounding, very rhythmic pulsing soundtrack. The story is more straightforward and approachable, way less computer jargon, and I miss the goofy little weirdos from the original!

Tron was way better than I remember, I remembered it being really dry and boring but visually incredible (and a great soundtrack) but its actually also kinda silly, and really vibrant! Full of color! Wendy Carlos' soundtrack has these atonal moments that really evoke unnatural synthetic feelings.

So I re-watched Tron and Tron Legacy to prepare for watching Ares Monday (I know people are saying its bad, let me have this anyways) and I am going to try to get through Tron Uprising before showtime.
