I fell out of listening to her after she wouldn't take criticism over her holding a feminist retreat at a plantation. I don't know if she ever eventually acknowledged that. I think at last listen Joyful Girl was my favorite. As a kid I loved the Living in Clip album. She was always better live.

I haven't seen this movie in so long I didn't realize.

I am going to avoid SNW spoilers as much as possible by being vague, but if you haven't seen the recent episode skip this

The jump scare gave me Gorn vibes only for the Batel scene to happen. I'm not sure how it all fits and I am not the best at putting things together, so I could be wrong.

You then have to argue that Picard is ACAB since he's the main authority of that ship. Or if you're looking at DS9, Sisko. While we've seen this type of corruption on Trek, it's not that cut and dry.

I think as someone pointed out, he has another love interest (that he doesn't reciprocate) around this time too. It's been a long time since I have seen the episode of TOS that has her.

I didn't mind Chapel at first, but to keep using romance to develop him is frustrating.

Not just a blooper real. How about an hour of bloopers and a full episode of The Last Frontier?

I'm sorry, while I am not an active Tumblr poster, I do browse it and the only tags I follow are Trek and C-Drama related. I might be contributing to that weird algorithm. 😂

Oh and Farscape, so if you get that recommended then you can blame me.

This would be the only thing that makes it ok. And I am neutral about Spirk. La'an shouldn't be a rebound and there's so much more they could do than another Spock relationship.
August 1, 2025 at 10:54 PM
I think they have chemistry, it's just a forced relationship. Had they built it more it would work. But it's getting ridiculous to keep highlighting Spock's love life. Why not highlight someone else if they want the relationship drama that much? Also, La'an deserves to be more than a rebound.

Mariner only gets to Commander? Does this mean she's Boimler's #1?

Una's hair is a crime. ENT did zombies better. Where they're going with the Gorn is lazy. I wasn't sure it was PTSD for Oretgas before but this convinced me, which is good. M'Benga is the highlight and this saved the episode. This is the first SNW episode I outright don't like. That's ok though.

Hoping we're the Gorn's Borg. But maybe out of a huge misunderstanding.

Spock, Uhura, and Scotty would all recognize him. I don't think any of them have to acknowledge their meeting him for the episode to work. It's been several years and they likely won't be friends at any point during that time.
July 20, 2025 at 9:29 PM
The reboot is rumor still. And IMO hopefully stays that way and we get a new series.

That's a good point about the Gorn getting classified. I have wondered if there's more going on and The Federation instigated them or there's someone external pulling strings.
July 20, 2025 at 9:25 PM
With Korby, I haven't seen that episode in so long. Again, he's not the only one who would recognize him, but I don't think it contradicts the episode.
July 20, 2025 at 9:11 PM
In regards to the Gorn.... It really depends on the direction they go. Without something else coming into play, it contradicts Arena. Spock never reveals much unless neccessary. But he's not the only one who would have recognized them. At the very least it's a soft reboot. At most a hard reboot.
July 20, 2025 at 9:07 PM
In regards to Trelane: he never saw him. Trelane appeared to him as Vulcan, Andorian, and green energy. While the green energy would give it away, they encountered lots of god-like beings so he may not have made the connection until the end, with his revelation happening off screen.

I was hoping for an explanation leading into this episode. I didn't hate it, but I was hoping for a pay off. I feel they took a shortcut by making them a stereotypical villain. If there isn't a,"they were like this because the Federation attacked first" moment later in the series, I will be mad.

The same main actor from The Longest Day in Chang'an. I'm only about 10 episodes in. It's a slower paced, serious drama with a little comedy thrown in.

I thought it was the 28th!! I regret taking my time with The Litchi Road. I was hoping to be more than halfway through it by the time this aired. 😅

My galaxy cross stitch sits untouched. I still need supplies for my other projects and the pain is always limiting. The nerve running down my arm is causing my fingers to twitch. That said I managed this one. Sometimes you fall in love with the simple patterns. Ignore my mistake.

And so many fans are aware of it. I'm not sure if they're just outnumbered by the ones pretending or that some of them are stuck in not being able to accept it of themselves.
