Our project is grounded in collaboration between practitioners from the cultural & creative sectors and researchers.
For us, working together means togetherness, open communication, exchange, sharing ideas, listening, dialogue, recognizing the limits of each perspective, and spending time together.
The School of the Future – through the eyes of children
No art, no ethics, no history – just workshops for your dreams.
No homework, little writing, playful learning, ramen, iPads, chill rooms.
A school that prepares for life and values now.
Where art and future meet – meaningful, creative, alive.
In September, the Barcelona team kicked off the new academic year by participating in ECER 2025 and holding an open day to present EART projects, including EXPECT_Art. This October we will continue working and disseminating the project!
🔊 ECER 2025 / UB's academics and the artist-educator from EART reflected on collaboration in ethnographic research, the epistemological tensions of the arts within school-based education, and the possibilities for decolonizing the curriculum through arts education.

This week, we're participating at the ECER 2025 in Belgrade. Gro Hellesdatter Jacobsen from @aau.dk chaired the panel on Decolonizing Curricula through Art Education: First Steps of the EXPECT_Art Project in Affecting and Being Affected by Schools. Cheers from the team👋 #ecer2025
Day 6 was our last day of workshops. Karolina from the University of Wrocław presented workshop on "Legal Education Through Art". We continued with the lecture carried out by Jacek Wasik from @ec.europa.eu . We discussed about cultural education in the multicultural Europe.
Day 5 - time to visit Wrocław! The trip started with a visit to the Polish cultural partners headquarters - Wrocławski Instytut Kultury. Next we visited the Four Domes Pavilion. There, we were able to create our own works inspired by Magdalena Abakanowicz's creations.
Day 4 of summer school! The day started with a guided tour of Krzyżowa and a discussion about history of Central Europe. Agnieszka Sobieska prepared workshop about anti-discrimination based on LEGO and workshop on the "Women's Muslim Clothing in the Contemporary European Legal and Cultural Context".
Update from day 3 of our summer school☀️! We started the day with a lecture on critical pedagogy. After that we had some yoga class🧘‍♀️ and two workshops - the first one was about glass art while the second was about innovative methods. We finished this day with Irish umsic🎻 and dance💃.
We started day 2 with a discussion on Arts Education. Then we had a lecture & debate on decoloniality & critical cultural literacy. After that our day was filled with artistic workshops such as: creating "trash books" and preparing our own linocuts.
We're in the middle of our programme of Summer School in Krzyżowa! The first day was dedicated for integration and getting to know the beatiful venue – a park & palace complex nearby the Sudeten Mountains, the former estate of the von Moltke family, known for its opposition activities during WW II.
Just back from our conference in Budapest on Community-Based Research, Decolonial Theory and Education.
