On the flip side of "curate your experience" I also think we need to teach people how to handle seeing content they may not enjoy. Like at certain points you are gonna see a kink or a post that is not your cup of tea and we need to stop pretending like its the end of the world.

But beyond the objective reasons why this person is wrong, what's defective moral character is to assume everyone should be free and wanting to talk to you at a moment's notice without any basic courtesy on your part to ask first if they can take a call about whatever it is you want to talk about.

This is dumb for many reasons, but the last point is just flat out wrong. If a call is actually important enough they'll either text you about it or at least try to call more than once. Scammers and marketers cant waste too much time trying to ring a single number when they have so many to attempt.

my most unpopular opinion is that it's a sign of defective moral character if you point blank refuse to answer phone calls from unknown numbers. it's not that hard to hang up on spam/scammers, and you are probably missing important calls!
