One of the reasons that doilies were/are so expensive (& thus nana’s are very precious about their doilies) is that on top of the incredible amount of work crocheting you also have to meticulously block and starch the doily to really see the lacework.
Bears like to have fuh-un in the suh-un! 🐻
Several years in the making and almost a year of waiting due to pregnancy, I can finally debut Miwak for Halloween! 🎃

Head/paws/tail, & sandals made by me. Bodysuit commissioned by Eastern Dragon Fursuits with a tail port mod by me.

Hoping to take Miwak for adventures in 2026!
Started up another shawl using Hobbii Twister Glitter yarn. This is the bubble tea shawl pattern by redteapotatelier.
So I got a random bug in my head that I *had* to crochet a doily. So I did. … And now I’ve convinced myself that I need to do two more to enter into the 2026 Royal *just because* … oops.
Have you ever seen a lucet? A lucet is an ancient tool used for making box cordage and here I’m using my historical replica bone lucet to make up the shoulder strap cord for the crochet beetroot bag.
Donwell cable scarf is completed and being blocked. I did find a teensy little cabling mistake (literally 2 stitches) when blocking & I plan to fix it with a duplicate stitch once everything is dry. See if you can find the mistake in the 3rd picture 😉
This pattern had two border options; a shell or a bobble. I thought a bobble border would look super cute but nothing prepared me for how incredibly laborious it would be to crochet. It’ll be worth it in the end!
Here I’m making up the leaves for the beetroot bag. The veining on the leaves was done via some basic embroidery stitches. I also added some yarn strands of different lengths to the ‘root’ of the bag and untwisted the ends to get that ground vegetable vibe going.
I have been plowing on with this scarf and I can see the light at the end of the tunnel! I’ve knit the middle section and the second keyhole, and now I just have to finish off the end.

Completed sheep cowl.

Pattern is the standard adult medium cowl from The Doodle Knit Directory & the Flock 2024 limited doodle card by Pacific Knit Co. Yarn is the limited edition Flock 2024 doodle kit in Bronto DK by Yarnaceous Fibers.
WIP of a crochet beetroot bag. I’m using some purple handspun I made a while ago which is the perfect colour for this project, and I spun some green yarn for the leaves to the same weight as the purple yarn too. The pattern is by Brooke’s Imaginings.
A while ago I bought a pop lock to see if it would fit with how I work (but mainly because it was pretty). I was cautioned against it since I had a flicker brush, which does the same thing & is more versatile/ergonomic, but I will definitely use this when working on the couch.
Completed singles of the merinoXleicester and pure lamb leicester I processed recently. The plan is to ply these 2 ply to match some other natural wools in my stash so hopefully I can make a garment using all natural coloured wools.
Completed houseplant blackwork. I really love this overall design, it’s so sweet!
thanks! Its also snuggly warm and super soft
I’m in end weaving hell. My plan is to get all these ends woven in before crocheting the border.
Here’s a dumb blocking solution for when your floats crinkle the work because your tension was stuffed up by not managing to find a comfortable tip/cable length combo for the garment size.
Completed biscornu with included lavender/camphor laurel sachets for scent.

These are slightly larger than my hand, which combined with the included scents makes them perfect as a focal room decoration or used in wardrobes to deter moths (moths hate lavender and camphor).
Once all the plants were done I discovered a booboo - one plant on the right side had been stitched 3 squares too high by accident which threw everything off. I had to restitch a plant & modify the border.
If you’ve ever wondered if swatching is essential, check this out. Both handspun yarns seemed pretty equivalent, however, swatched felt & draped different. Also discovered I was taught as a kid ‘normal’ yarn overs wrong (left photo) - wouldn’t have known this if hadn’t swatched!
WIP of the donwell cable scarf. This is the second time I have attempted cables and I’m finding this cable pattern much more pleasant/simpler to do than the previous cabled scarf I did. The cable repeat is very simple yet it’s creating such a lovely centre honeycomb pattern.
Gosh please don’t! Or if you do remove it consider allowing it if a customer specifically DMs requesting international shipping.
I’m in Australia and a lot of the things I buy come from overseas & Ive been saying to pick up a few things from your shop
Some more progress on the plant blackwork. I’m really enjoying doing each little motif, it’s very relaxing.
