Mr. Crow

This crow was marching pass my house. All he needed was a top hat, cane, and perhaps a monocle to complete the aura.

"An American Crow (Corvus brachyrhynchos) strides along a gravel road, its black plumage absorbing light rather than reflecting it. The feathers are matte and close-set, with faint hints of iridescence where the light catches a curve—blue, violet, or steel, depending on the angle. Its posture is alert but unhurried, head slightly lowered, beak pointed forward like a compass needle.

Each step is deliberate, claws gripping the uneven surface of the gravel. The stones beneath are pale and scattered, offering a textured contrast to the crow’s dark silhouette. The bird’s legs are sturdy and angular, built for both walking and sudden flight, though here they serve a quieter purpose—navigation, inspection, presence.

The eye is sharp and dark, a small gleam of awareness in a face otherwise shadowed. The crow seems to be scanning the road, not for danger, but for something more abstract—a pattern, a rhythm, a reason.
